ENERGY FOR INSTITUTIONS
Since the 1st of July 2007, public institutions - like the other consumers of electric energy - have the freedom to choose their electric energy seller (the TPA principle). However, they have to purchase electric energy in accordance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Law Act.
Pursuant to the provisions, each procurement for a public institution whose value exceeds 14,000 Euro has to be made by a tendering procedure. In the case of electric energy, the tendering procedure has to result in the selection of an energy seller, i.e. the entity responsible for the so-called active energy, which is actually ordered by a consumer (it does not apply to the energy transmission services rendered by regional distributors).
FITEN SA provides services for corporate customers within the scope of preparation and conduction of tendering activities targeted at changing an electric energy seller. We advise our customers on whether the change of an energy seller is economically and technically possible and profitable.
Preparation of a tendering procedure
We offer assistance in the preparation of the specification of essential terms of the contract.
Such assistance includes:
- audit of the equipment,
- analysis of electric energy consumption,
- preparation of complete documentation for the tendering procedure: description of the object of the contract, tender and price forms, tender evaluation criteria, samples of electric energy purchase agreements,
- public tender announcement.
The result of all the above actions is the specification that will help the customer choose the most advantageous offer for the purchase of electric energy.
Energy audit
As a separate service, we also offer an energy audit for the cost-effectiveness of changing an electric energy seller along with training in the field of optimisation of the purchase costs for electric energy. The audit consists in the analysis of electric energy consumption on the basis of invoices and technical documentation. We also check the metering and billing devices for their adjustment to the possibility of purchasing energy from any seller of a customer’s choice in accordance with the TPA principle.
Financing of the modernisation of systems
The counselling service during the financing of the modernisation of systems is closely related to the sale of electric energy and the adjustment of the metering systems. The service is offered to corporate and public Customers who wish to take advantage of the model that allows covering the costs of metering systems adjustment from the savings achieved thanks to the change of a seller.
